Regenerative incinerators from Venjakob

Residue-free, even in complex applications

The residue-free removal of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) is an extremely complex form of exhaust air purification. It is required, for instance, in coating, finishing and printing processes. Our regenerative incinerators are designed for that exact purpose. This is precisely why they have become the state of the art around the worldthey are used by everyone, from small- and medium-sizedcompanies to global corporations and well-known OEMs. And there's a good reason for that: their impeccable quality.

Variable in design, versatile in use – especially in terms of space

Regenerative incinerators from Venjakob Umwelttechnik are available in different designs – positioned vertically or horizontally. The vertical position is the conventional design. The horizontal position is the Venjakob design for you if you need a solution with a significantly reduced height.  And if you are looking for an even smaller solution for smaller air volumes we offer compact units, which we will gladly completely pre-assemble at our factory on request("plug and play"). If you are dealing with a high concentration of pollutants, a version with separate heat exchanger chambers is also available. In short: we offer you awide selection for the most diverse requirements.

Nice and hot and very regenerative – the process

The operating principle of regenerative incinerators is based on passing
the polluted exhaust air alternately through three chambers equipped with ceramic heat storage elements. At a temperature of over 800°C (1470°F), polluted air in the inlet chamber is heated to nearly the required oxidation temperature. This means the auxiliary burner in the combustion chamber located centrally above the chambers requires very little additional fuel. In many cases, the energy content of the air pollutants being removed is even sufficient to enable autothermal operation entirely without additional fuel. Afterwards, the now clean exhaust air flows through the outlet chamber and transfers as much heat as possible to the ceramic heat storage elements.

Enormously versatile – the areas of application

Regenerative incineration, a process that is constantly being further developed and optimized, can now be integrated in most processes for cleaning exhaust air contaminated by solvents or odors.

Typical applications

  • Coating and finishing
  • Paint production
  • Packaging print
  • Web offset printing
  • Production of friction pads
  • Chemical industry
  • Pharmaceutical industry
  • Biogas processing
  • Production of lubricants
  • Coating of laminate papers and the like.
  • Production of solar models
  • Odor control in the food and beverage industry
  • Flavor production

Less primary energy, lower emissions – the advantages

Our regenerative incinerators are characterized by low primary energy requirements. This in turn minimizes your CO2 emissions. And to save gas in non-autothermal operation, we can integrate a flameless gas injection system for you. Just in general, we offer a wide range of optional equipment to adapt the systems precisely to your requirements:

  • Burnout
  • Material selection for acid-forming and | or humid exhaust air flows
  • Hot-gas removal for operation above autothermal
  • Use of adapted ceramic thermal energy storage elements or a combination of different elements in a single system

For larger air volumes, we at Venjakob Umwelttechnik offer an optional 5-chamber design. This means that even larger exhaust air flows can be cleaned in a compact system.
